A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 13, 2011, general meeting. Motion carried.
Dianne gave a report describing the club's recent equipment acquisitions and plans for upcoming programs featuring e-readers in March and tablet computing in May. On January 26 there will be in introduction to the Apple MacBook Pro in the lab at 7 PM.
Program- Club Ten Year Anniversary: The balance of the meeting was dedicated to celebrating the club's ten years of service and recognizing the club founders. Each of the founders present shared stories of the club's early days. Those participating were Phil Opdenbrouw, Phil Geddes, Al Hesse, Donna Wieb, Fred Butler, Steve Pruess, Merlin Anderson and Val Roehl.

Minutes: A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the January 17, 2011, general meeting. Motion carried.
Treasurer: Craig Campbell reported that as of today, the bank balance is $6,566.91. We have 102 members.
Education: Steve Pruess reported that planning is under way for March classes. Offerings will include eBay Buying/Selling, Windows Live Movie Maker, Master Cook, Mac 101, Photo-Shop Elements and others.
Programs: Doug Sakal reported that there will be two programs in March. There will be a special program March 5th on eReaders. The regular March program topic will be Apple's iOS which is used on iPads, iPhones and iPod Touch devices. A program on Open Systems is a possible future topic.
President: Dianne Thomson urged everyone to complete and return a survey. The new Mac and iPad will be available during open lab sessions.

Program - Streaming Video: Dave Andersen gave a fascinating presentation on the state of video streaming, available content and the hardware required.

Minutes: A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2011, general meeting. Motion carried.
Treasurer: Craig Campbell reported that as of today, the bank balance is $6,871.91. We have 120 members.
Education: March and April classes are being planned and will be found on the Computer Club web site's calendar. March classes include scanning slides, Photo Gallery, e-Bay pictures, and MasterCook. April classes include Photoshop Elements Organizer and Guided Edit and others.
Programs: The May program has traditionally featured Gizmos and Gadgets. This year the program will include a focus on apps, for all kinds of devices, including Android tablets and phones.
President: Our recent survey of members showed a keen interest in learning more about mobile computing. This program and others will respond to these changes in technology, as well as other topics of interest to members. The Club will likely change its monthly meeting venue, out of the Fine Arts Room and into the Silver Room. This may result in our changing our regular meeting dates from the third Tuesday of the month. When programs are expected to result in a large turnout, we will consider reserving the first two rows for club members.

Program - Apple iOS and Apps: Paul Jaffe gave a great presentation on the state of the Apple iPad and iOS with emphasis on the large variety of apps available for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Treasurer Report - Craig Campbell reported that as of today the club total bank balance is $ 6471.94. The total club paid membership for 2012 is 125.
Announcements - Dianne noted that the next general meeting will be on Monday, May 14. This meeting will discuss the many apps available. She stated that next year's general meetings are expected to be in the ballroom.
The club will not have meetings over the summer, from June through August. The fall general meeting will be on Sept. 18.
There will be Help Clinics for Mac users on April 26 and May 10.

Treasurer Report - Craig Campbell reported that as of today the club bank balance is $6185.01. The total club paid membership for 2012 is 139.
Announcements - - Regular meetings for the remainder of 2012 will be held in the Silver Room. Beginning in 2013, regular meetings will be held in the crystal ballroom. - The computer lab will be re-arranged over the summer. The setup will include 8 student PC locations with 21" monitors. Additional space will be available for students who bring their own laptops or mobile devices. - There will be some iPad classes next year. A fall program will focus on the latest tablets and 'Best Tablet Buys for the Holidays'. - Windows 8 will be introduced next fall and we hope to add a touch-screen device. - There will be additional information/presentations on cloud computing.
